A collection of correspondence related to Six Mile Canyon/Butter's Mill near Virginia City, Nevada, dating from 1913. Butter's Mill was a cyanide mill built in 1902 in order to reprocess the tailing left by previous mining operations in the area, and was at one point the largest cyanide mill in the United States. The collection contains correspondence from the Butters Company and Charles Butters of Oakland, California, an American mine owner and engineer. The collection contains 7 typewritten letters and 5 handwritten pages.
