Beautiful small gouache painting on paper by Arthur Charles Nahl. The painting is signed Arthur C. Nahl, age 9 years / Alameda, April 9th 1882. 9.5" x 7.5", on paper. Arthur was the son of Hugo Wilhelm Arthur Nahl and Annie Sweeney Nahl, and the father of Marion, Phyllis (Antonia Cobos) a dancer and choreographer, and Marjorie Nahl, an impressionist artist. The women were cousins to Malcolm Nahl.
