Includes The Roughneck( with notes on Reno Commercial Club paper), Katie of Desolate Springs (returned from Everybody's Magazine), The Three Lost Buttes (rewritten and published in Reno Gazette), two copies of That Cuss the Burro, Mystery of the Grapevines, and Too Much Argument. Some of these may have never been published before! Higgins was living in Reno at 437 Granite Street when these were written, but had spent time at some of the later mining camps. He had a ranch outside Reno and was into real estate. Also eight 1932 stories written for the Reno Gazette about 'Old Bill' in some sort of serial form with many parts missing it seems.
