Lot of 8 pieces for the C.O.D. mining companies in Goldfield and the Gold Bar and Victor Mines, which were owned by the C.O.D. Consolidated. The COD Consolidated was a merger of the Goldfield C.O.D. and the Gold Bar Mining Co. Properties included the C.O.D., Golden Eagle, and Zoe from the C.O.D. Co., the Gold Bar from that company, and the Victor and Victor Fraction from the Goldfield Consolidated. The company was tightly held and controlled by the famous Goldfield Consolidated Mining Company. The claims formed a compact group, 90 acres at Goldfield. Property had a 350' shaft and several thousand feet of workings by 1916 (Mines Handbook, 1916). 1) C.O.D. Leasing Company stock certificate. No. 166, issued in 1910 for 500 shares. Not cancelled. Three mining vignettes. Folds, pinholes. 2) C.O.D. Consolidated Mining Company stock certificates. Two varieties. No. 4957 issued in 1913 and No. A4499 issued in 1912. Neither is cancelled and both feature the red gem vignette. Pinholes, folds. 3) The Gold Bar Mining Company stock certificate. No. 278, issued for 500 shares in 1906. Not cancelled. Three mining vignettes. Folds, some toning. Comes with a pictorial advertising envelope for the company! 4) Goldfield Gold Bar Extension Mining Company stock certificate.
