Lot of 2. 1) Cabinet card of Sitting Bull's Cabin at Standing Rock, South Dakota .c.1890. Shows 6 men, some armed, posing outside of log cabin. "Sitting Bull's Cabin" is processed into the photograph (though difficult to read). Photographer is not readable. Sitting Bull was a Lakota leader who had visions of Custer's army before the Battle of Little Big Horn. He went on to perform in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. He was killed in 1890 by Indian agency police on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation during an attempt to arrest him, at a time when authorities feared that he would join the Ghost Dance movement. 2) E.G. Cummings, Lewiston, Idaho cabinet card of Native American woman in studio. Reverse identifies her as Tom Hart's wife. Weak contrast and heavy soiling.
