Extremely rare. This company mined soda ash at Cartago, now a ghost town at Owens Lake in Inyo County. They operated 1917-1932, eventually becoming the Inyo Chemical Company (in 1924). They obtained their CO2 from vertical coke fired lime kilns using dolomite from the Western Inyo Mountains, or limestone from Cerro Gordo. Inc. in 1917. No. 303, issued for Thomas Treanor in 1920. Signed by the vice president (Sherman?) and secretary Dickens. Not cancelled. Plain design with black print. 8.5 x 11.5" Folds, pinholes, some toning.
