This is a German document from 1854 with two pictorial vignettes of early clipper ships bringing emigrants from Germany to North America. The document, written in German, is for an expedition from Germany that went to New York and New Orleans. The document involves five passengers led by Carl T Werthenbroich. The ship arrived in New York on 5 April 1854, under Captain Seward. This is an unusual document originating in Germany for immigrants to America during the Gold Rush.
