Three page document from the California gold rush recorded in Amador County in 1859 with an orange Amador County District Court seal. Indenture document transfers the –Lyon Ranch”, located in Edna Valley to James C. Wicker of Ione City, Amador County. Signed by the sellers of the property, W. (William) Hermes and J. (Jacob) Marcuse. Signed and attested to by T.M. Pawling, the court clerk in Jackson. The property was sold for consideration of one dollar. The property had previously been recorded in the county books and records in 1858. Condition is good. Small tear on one fold and some browning areas. Very nice and scarce gold rush document.
