Lot of 6. 1) Rare 1879 transfer of stock certificate shares for The Quicksilver Mining Company. New Almaden. 2) Silver Hill Mining Company assessment receipt, 1881, issued at the San Francisco office. This is likely a mine in Gold Hill, Nevada. There is also a mine of the same name in Austin, NV, and North Carolina. Rare. 3) 1878 manuscript document dateline Nevada Hill Mine. Receipt for reducing ore. There was a Nevada Hill mine at Fairview, Nevada but we believe this to be a receipt for an operation in Placer County, CA. (See History of Placer County, pg. 229, 1882). 4.5 x 7.5" 4) Unused Mojave Miners' Union membership notice, 190_. Rare. 5) Two timecards for miners of the Red Mountain Mines, 1932 and 1933.
