Lot of six pieces of historic scrip: 1) two examples of the Sinclair Dollar, The Red Currency, good only in California and Russia. Although he had run for office several times on the Socialist Party ticket, this currency is from is run for governor of California in 1934 as a Democrat. Sinclair's platform, was known as the End Poverty in California movement (EPIC), _x000D_
Gaining 879,000 votes made this his most successful run for office, but incumbent Governor Frank Merriam defeated him by a sizable margin. Hollywood studio bosses unanimously opposed Sinclair.
