Lot of 5 passes for the "Skunk Train." Included: 1909 signed by John French as general supt.; 1914 signed by C.A. Curtis; 1915 also signed by Curtis; 1920 signed by Curtis; and 1930 signed by AT Nelson. Please inspect photo for conditions. The California Western Railroad & Navigation Co. started in 1885, built by the Fort Bragg Redwood Company to transport coastal redwood to the mill. It ran for decades, and the steam engines gave way to gasoline-powered engines that folks nicknamed "Skunks." The claim was "you could smell them before you saw them." It ran from Ft. Bragg to Willits. (Prag Collection) City: Mendocino County State: California, Date: Inventory# 41127
