The Cameron post office opened in 1901 and closed in 1909. It was formerly called Touraine. This is an early 1902 Cameron. The postmark is a little light, but easily read. The corner advertising is for the Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek District Railway Co. It was sent by J Cummings to Mrs. J Cummings in Holton, Kansas. Holton postmark on reverse. The railroad was organized in 1897 and by 1910 was no longer effective competing against other lines.
