This is a prototype model 716 trapper from Camillus with dual lock back mechanisms. This one was made available to the ABC (American Blade Collectors) however was not picked for the 1990 release. The release knives were made by Parker and Case. This one is simply marked "Camillus" in the oval inlay and on the ricasso of the spear point blade but no other notation as to model number is shown. The owner's initials are scribed into the bolster as: "G.W.W." A letter from the Camillus Engineer Phil Gibbs accompanies the knife with a clear explanation. This is a unique knife with two thumb cut-aways to compress the lock backs. 4.5 in. closed and 8 in. open with 3.5 in. blades (these may be unique numbers from the 716 model). Red jigged delrin. Like new condition, no box. Please see photos for details.
