The Camp Brown tokens appear to be first written up by James Curto, later published in Schenkman, A Survey of American Trade Tokens, pp30-31.J. K. Moore started a trading post at Fort Bridger. He moved to Camp Brown in 1869, but the Camp was named after Fred Bropwn in 1870, and moved in 1871. Lerch Collection. 35mm, brass, incuse.
