Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1861 by L.N. Rosenthal, a lithographer in Philadelphia. Caption reads: "Camp Union/ Col. Jno. C. Robinson. 1st Mich. Infantry." Underneath has signature of "James Parkinson (?), First Mich. Voleteers." Measures 6.5" x 10.75." In antique frame that needs to be replaced. Deep vertical and horizontal folds with light soiling. Gilt border. Attractive view of camp with tents, Union soldiers, and structures with American flag. Camp Union was located near Philadelphia and served as a military training center from 1861-1865.
