A nice group of Canadian mining shares. 1)Smith Creek Mining and Development Company (A.T.), issued at Pittsburgh, PA. for 16 shares in 1906. The company was engaged in placer mining tin the West Kootenay district, British Columbia, Canada (B.C. Gazette, 1907). Eagle vignette. Unc. 2)The Northern Light Mines Company (AZ), issued in 1903. The co. operated in West Ontario, Canada. Mines included the Baden Powell mine as well as the Eldorado min and the Buffalo mine. Mining vignette. Unc. 3)Corona Cobalt Silver Mining Company, Limited issued in 1909 for 500 shares. Inc. under the Ontario Companies Act. Likely operated in the Cobalt district, Ontario, Canada. Two miners working above ground. Unc. 4)Rainbow Mining & Milling Company, Limited issued in 1925 for 2500 shares. No specific information. 5)International Minerals & Chemical Corporation, SPECIMEN certificate. The co. incorporated in 1909. ABN Co. printer. Miners underground surrounded by allegorical figures. 6-7)The International Nickel Company of Canada, Limited 1930, 1933. I/C. The co. held 18000 acres, mostly in the Sudbury, Ontario nickel belt. In the 1920's, the company was the world's largest producer of copper-nickel ores. Ore was discovered in 1884, mining commenced in 1886, and smelters were started in 1888. Mines worked were the Creighton and Crean Hill, 8 and 19 miles from Copper Cliffs. Blue and orange variety certificates. Both cxled. 8) The Tottenham and Edmonton Gas Light and Coke Company, Warrant for interest due for the half year ending Dec. 1904.
