Lot of 19. Capt. Billy's Whiz Bang Magazine , suggestive photos, stories, cartoon, etc. Included in the collection. 1924-25 and '32 Winter Annual Fine to VF cond. Captains Billy's Whiz Bang was one of the most popular and notorious humor magazines of the 1920's. It was created by Wilford Hamilton Fawcett, who had been a captain in the US Army during WW I and gained a nickname Captain Billy. Fawcett would later tell reporters that he had started his magazine to give doughboys-as WWI servicemen were popularly called-something to laugh about.
