Lot of 4 items, including: 1). Deed recorded January 17, 1870, in Esmeralda County. Notarized by Geo. H. Dana, Clerk of Storey County. Includes blue 50c, Original Process revenue stamp below 50c Nevada State revenue stamp, both tied to the document with the County Clerk's stamp. 2). Receipt of goods "Bought of John G. Fox, Dealer in…" Datelined Carson City, 1867. Attached at the lower left is a 2c orange internal revenue stamp; with an orange, 2c Nevada State revenue stamp to its right. Both are tied to the document by a stamp from "John G. Fox, Carson City, Jan 28 1867." 3). Note from Elliott Bros., datelined Carson City, Nev., 1866. The text orders $600 in gold coin, which will be paid for in timber within one month at $18 dollars per thousand feet, with "mining timbers of suitable sizes and lengths for Virginia Mines." Along the left edge is a red, 5c internal revenue "express" stamp, just below a red, 25c "power of attorney" R48R4 revenue stamp. 4). A promissory note datelined Carson City, 1865, for the sum of $204 with "interst of two per cent per month." A red, power of attorney 25c U. S., R 48 R 4, internal revenue stamp has been attached at the lower right.
