This typewriter comes with a letter and a cover addressed to "Mint of the United States / Carson City, Nevada / Att's Mr. E. T. Clyde" in 1932. He was the lead assayer from 1928 to 1933 when the assay office was closed. The Oliver Typewriter was the creation of Rev. Thomas Oliver, born in Woodstock, Canada in 1852. The Oliver Typewriter Company began operating as a corporation in 1895. It claim to fame was the unusual ’U’ shaped formation that allowed the typist to see what he/she was typing and their reputation for durability. Comes with the original cover and wood base! Much more on Oliver, Clyde and the Mint included. Will probably require extra shipping. City: Carson City, Ormsby State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 99571
