Rare document from the Coiner's Department, U.S. Mint, Carson, February 12th, 1875. Coining Room No. 6. Addressed to the superintendent, the following items are required for use in the Coining Room: 9 obverse and 8 reverse dime dies; 8 obverse and 5 reverse quarter dollar dies; and 7 obverse and 7 reverse half dollar dies. Signed by Doane as Coiner. Dies for Morgan dollars being minted with Comstock silver! Measures 3" x 7.75." Pinhole and a bent corner.
