Lot of 20 newspapers. Eighteen are from the Morning Appeal, 1 from 1880 and 17 from 1883. Two date from 1915 from the Carson City News. All have tears and flanking on the edges and sides. Some are browning from age. In May 1877 the Carson Daily Appeal was renamed The Morning Appeal, then it went back to being the Daily Appeal in 1906. In 1947 it was finally renamed to The Nevada Appeal, the name it keeps to this day. The Carson City News ran from 1891 to 1930 when it was sold to rival news paper The Appeal [Lingenfelter, & Gash Rix, Karen, The Newspapers of Nevada. A History & Bibliography 1854-1979, p. 35].
