Lot of 2 different. Both rare. 1) Bank of California check issued in 1889 to Knapp & Laws, signed by HM Yerington as president. Blue font and insignia. Britton & Rey, SF. 2) Special Pay Receipt, issued on Virginia (City) on April 30th, 1896 to E. Yerington for services as Asst. Secretary. The Carson & Colorado, a daughter company of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad, ran from Mound House, Nevada, to Keeler, California. Construction began in 1880. It was sold to Southern Pacific in 1900.
