28" x 28" pencil on onionskin paper map of MTP T16N, R19E MDM, showing all 36 sections (a six mile by six mile square.) This appears to be a hand made blow-up of what may have been the original 1863 MTP for this township. It also contains significant ownership notes, and was thus used for title work at some point. The map shows the outlines of dozens of land patents, probably all for timber land. It shows the exact location of over 20 mills (lumber), at least a dozen cabin sites, streams, roads and lot owners. Of specific interest may be the "Johnson Cutoff" in Section 31, Lake Bigler Road Co. lot (section 7), the Ash saw mill in Gregory Canyon ((section 10), Cadwalader house on Monitor Hill grade (section 23).
