Opened in 1896 by Edwin Cawston, the Cawston Ostrich Farm was located on nine acres ,in the Arroyo Seco Valley north of Los Angeles. The Pasadena and Los Angeles Electric Railway trolley line brought many tourists to ride on the backs of ostriches, or ride in ostrich drawn carriages, and buy ostrich feathered hats, boas, capes and fans. The farm closed in 1935. This pinback is 32 mm.
