Rare and colorful silk souvenir in matte from the Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley and Central States held in Cincinnati in 1888. "Woven in pure silk by JJ Mannion & Co., Cincinnati, Ohio." Vignette of the expo. buildings. Heavy wear to matte, but silk is in good condition. Silk is 2.5 x 7" in 6.75 x 9.75" presentation matte. The 1888 Centennial Exposition was held in Cincinnati, Ohio, from July 4 to October 27, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the settlement of the "Northwest Territory".
