Stock Certificate from the Central GMC of Colorado. Incorporated in New York. Certificate number 219 issued in April 12, 1864 at New York to Mrs. Stratton. Signed by president RM Stratton, and Bangs. Printed by CO Jones, New York. Size 11 by 6 inches. In Excellent condition. Not cancelled. Allegorical vignette with semi-nude lady. Mining vignette. 25c Certificate revenue stamp. The Central Gold Mining Company own 200 feet on the Gunnell, and have a shaft 180 feet deep, with a crevice of fourteen inches of ore. The shaft is in good order, except that the whim-house has been blown off. The surface of the mine is pretty well hogged out, and it has not been worked for two years. The Company also own 200 feet on the Prize Lode, Gold Hill, on which are three shafts, 90, 165, and 185 feet in depth respectively. etc. [Hollister p163]
