Huntington was one of the Big Four (Stanford, Hopkins, Huntington, and Crocker) who founded the Central Pacific. Henry Ward Beecher was an American Congregationalist clergyman, social reformer, and speaker, known for his support of the abolition of slavery. He was the brother of Harriet Beecher Stowe.
