Perry was a U.S. Marshall and constable in Virginia City and later owned a saloon in Eureka (1864 Collins, 1884 Polk). Signed by J.H. Mallett as president and Joseph Loryea as secretary. Not cancelled. Ornate logo, no vignette. 25 cent adhesive revenue stamp attached at right. Printed by Commercial Print in Virginia City. Toning, nick on upper right border, rough cut on left side. Captain J.H. Mallett is listed as the superintendent of the Milton Mining Company in the 1864 Collins directory. Loryea is listed as a stock broker.
