Incorporated January 16, 1864. Two blue ten cent Inland Exchange and one five cent brown Agreement revenue stamps. Located Gold Hill Mining District. Woman on stag vignette. Gold Hill News Print. Harman would have been a Nevada Supreme Court Justice if the first statehood vote had passed. Hills was in Nevada as early as 1860. He died in a mining accident in 1866. Chapin was an outspoken proponent of miners. He arrived in Nevada in June of 1860 and sat on both Constitutional legislatures. The Chapin House still stands in Virginia City!
