Approximately 80 pieces. Includes notes, letters, and business correspondence. Lane was the superintendent of the Utica Mine. Items include a letter from Canada on his interest in the Jervis Inlet Quartz Company. A 1895 letter from Wemple & Hutchinson where "I just made them smile to think of any one asking $550,000 for a prospect...." It also includes several editions (and receipts) of the Chosen Friend. The Chosen Friend was an Evangelical Magazine and Missionary Chronicle. The collection is mostly business payments to the Carvin Mill, hauling wood, hauling sulphurets, etc. One interesting piece from the Hotel Sanz was in Mexico City. It was advertised as the Model Hotel of the Metropolis complete with hot and cold shower public baths, ladies parlor, barber shop, running water in every room, and French and American cuisine. Orlando Lavergne was the manager and Manuel Sanz the proprietor. From Anna Lane.
