Number 9 for 5 shares issued to Bessie Huntz for five shares on December 22,1915. Charles Edison signs as president. Signature is sharp and bold, although hole punch cancelled. 25 cent documentary stamp upper left. Small tear lower right and middle left. Otherwise near perfect. Eventually assigned to the Phonograph Corporation of Manhattan. They, of course, sold Edison phonographs. Charles Edison was an American politician, businessman, inventor and animal behaviorist. He was the Assistant and then United States Secretary of the Navy, and served as the 42nd Governor of New Jersey. Commonly known as "Lord Edison", he was a son of Thomas Edison.
