Photograph featuring the Charles Nelson, a steamer that was built by John C. Potter in 1869. During the 1880s-90s, this ship was owned by the Nelson Company, a logging company in British Columbia. The ship was later owned by the Granby Smelting Company from 1903-1914. This photograph was probably taken in Nelson, British Columbia, which is just over the US border, north of Spokane. Photograph is 19.25 x 7.25 in a 25.5 x 13.25 wooden frame, good condition, some scratches on the frame.
