Not a lot is known of this company. It was one of many in the mid to late 1970s that promoted the investment in precious metals.
in 1975, Nixon repealed the Gold Reserve Act, in so doing, gold went back to "free-trading" status, immediately jumped up to about $180 per ounce, and took silver with it. The "rush" was on. During an approximate 15 year period, numerous investment firms that specialized in precious metal stocks began holding seminars. Soon, there were huge national seminars, and a fleet of major industry "letter writers" (instant experts) were out there pushing their stocks. This process continues to this day.
In the information found on this company, one such promotional securities firm was Reynolds Securities, Inc. of Santa Cruz, California. In 1975, they invited two principals from the "Chemical Research Institute" to give a lecture on precious metals. The forum was entitles "Gold and Silver for Profits and Protection" as listed by Reynolds Securities, Inc. in an advertisement for the March, 1975 seminar.
Historically, it was not unusual for promotional silver ingots to be produced by private firms, and this is perhaps best illustrated by the many silver rounds etc. from the early 1930s found in the collector market today, as well as the Nevada Silver Co. bars found today.
