A June 15, 1875, article from the Territorial Enterprise noted that ore was being worked and shipped by this company. Mining in Cherry Creek began in earnest in 1872 and continued off and on for over 100 years. In the early 1880's the town of Cherry Creek was the largest voting district in White Pine County.
