Five pieces of currency from Chesnutwood's College Bank, organized February 11th, 1884 at Santa Cruz. A full business course for six months cost $42. Denominations of 25 Cts., $10, $20, and two $100. The school, located on Pacific Avenue, proved successful and by 1885 had over 130 students and offered courses in: Railroading, Lumber, Insurance, Real Estate, Bank, Commission, Merchandise Emporium, College Express, and Post Office.
