May 19, 1875, scarce Wild West newspaper with article on pages 2-4 on the Black Hills gold rush and the conflicts between the miners and Native Americans in the Black Hills. Cheyenne was a major jumping off point for the white miners going to the Black Hills as it was a stop on the Transcontinental RR that was close to the trail leading to the Black Hills. "We expect to hear soon that the Indians have given up their hunting rights in the country west of their reservation" etc.
