Chinese Carving from the Easton Trunk, possibly a toothpick holder. This item is in two pieces. The top piece measures 1 inch x 1.75 inches. Bottom piece is approximately 2.5 inches x 1.5 inches. Appears to have Chinese carvings on both sides. Has a slit that could hold toothpicks. Could be made out of wood. There was a note inside with a Chinese symbol that could mean tooth. Perhaps this is a companion piece to the Stannious Foil that was also packed in the Easton trunk, foil that was used as a form of filling for dental cavities.

Provenance: SS Central America Collection
