This is a collection of four liquor crock bottles, two of which once contained a Chinese wine known as Baijiu, not sake (Which is a Japanese product). Each about 7 inches high and about 5 inches wide. Baijiu, sometimes called by the more archaic Shaojiu) is a clear distilled liquor, which can be regarded as the national drink of the People's Republic of China. Its name translates as "white wine", but it is, in fact, a high-alcohol spirit. Baijiu is stronger in alcohol than both Japanese shochu and Korean wine. This crock with the paper label states that the product is 96 proof. There are two of these pieces labeled "Wing Lee Was". One is blank and the last is a brightly handpaintedsouvenir crock piece from Spain, with the name El Cortijo painted on the bottle. Please see photos for more detail and condition.
