Chippewa beaded cloth bandolier bag. Beaded with floral design above the pouch, the pouch and strap also have floral designs. Beaded and wool tassels from the bottom, 40" x 13.5". Bandolier Bags (like this one) are often large in size and decorated with a wide array of colorful beads and ribbons. They are worn as a cross-body bag, with a thick strap crossing a person’s chest to allow it to rest on the hip. Beading intact, but cloth is worn. State: City: Date: c. 1870's FHWAC#: 42068
