In the 1907 Nevada Directory Patrick J Carney was a member of Detch, Carney & Stevens located at 322 Main Street. They were local attorneys. In 1912 he was owner of the Weekly Post in Goldfield. Printed by Kistler Stationary, Denver. Across the bottom it reads San Francisco Office at 323 Mills Building. Perforated at top. This mine was discovered by Shorty Harris and Cross in 1904, The mine was located on Bullfrog Mountain. They sold out soon after making the discovery. Cross old his share for $25,000. Harris got drunk and sold his for $500 and a mule. The mine continued to operate until the Panic of 1907 when it was forced to close.
