Photographer is A.R. Moore, studio in Millwood, California (now a ghost town in Fresno County). Mautz does not have this address listed for Moore. Moore had a Gilroy studio from 1882-86. Photograph shows 30+ men posing next to a gigantic redwood log split in two. Most are posed on top, some below and two on a ladder. It's a fantastic view! Medium contrast with some fading/bleaching around the edges. Tag at bottom indicates this is a "Log at Gualala." Gualala was a lumbering town in Mendocino County near Sea Ranch. Portions of cardstock missing. Photograph measures 7.25" x 9.5."
