Location of Mines: Fryer Hill, Leadville, Colorado. Organized in New York. No. 8753, issued for 100 shares to Charles Vores on August 8, 1888. Signed by president R.W. Raymond and secretary Henry Cooper. Not cancelled. Green border and underground mining vignette. Printed by ABN. Folds, pinholes. Nice. Winfield Scott Keyes was the general manager of the company. Two notable names from the Board of Trustees are Horace A.W. Tabor, Lt. Gov. of Colorado, and Ulysses S. Grant, Jr. of New York. The company owned 66 acres on Fryer Hill, one mile from Leadville. Over 5000' of shafts and 28,000'+ of drifts with numerous other workings. The ore was of lead carbonates and argentiferous iron. Production prior to 1882 totaled 60,000 tons yielding 2.2 million ounces of silver worth $1.6 million after cost of mining.
