Lot of twelve billheads, letterheads, telegraph forms and notes. All relating to Warren Williams or his estate. 1) Eastgate: G. B. Williams, dealer in General Merchandise. Eastgate was the supply point for mines in the area and a stop on the freight route. It was also a stopping point for cars travelling the Lincoln Highway. 2) Wonder: Spider-Wasp Mining Company. "My horse is not doing well here at all..." 3) Wonder: Nevada Wonder Mining Company, talks about "white flag" ore, and timbers. Wonder was established in May 1906 when prospectors from the town of Fairview discovered rich quartz veins in a dry wash north of Chalk Mountain. As was typical of the era of the 'second' silver rush in Nevada, hundreds of people soon flocked to the site, and the town of Wonder was born. 4) Hercules: Hercules Supply Store, Looking for someone to handle ore out of Hercules and to the rail point at Fallon. Also looking for timber. 5) Hercules: Marvin Ish & Brothers Mines, The Ish's were instrumental in starting the Pacific Coast Baseball League. 6) Hercules: S. F. Palmer, Mining. Hercules was a close neighbor of Wonder. 7) Fairview News: Looking for yearly subscription. 8-9) Fairview: Fairview Telephone and Telegraph Company, two slightly different forms. "Cannot send coin shall send one thousand clearing house certificate." 10-12) Fairview: Three notes handwritten from Fairview. All relating to money transfers. Fairview is now in the middle of the Fallon 'Top Gun' Bombing Range and cannot be accessed. State: Nevada City: Churchill County HWAC#: 46883 Date:
