Thirty six common shares issued to and signed by Caleb B. Smith as president. Caleb Smith was an Indiana politician that helped Abraham Lincoln secure the 1860 presidential nomination. He was rewarded by being named Secretary of the Interior from 1861-62 and then a U.S. District Court Judge (coxrail.com). The shares were $50 each. Multiple vignettes include a steam engine right to left in front of a roman style building. Nice clear signature from Smith. Uncancelled.
