CITY BOTTLING WKS./S.S/ FT. MORGAN Originally Camp Wardwell in 1865, and eventually renamed the following year Fort Morgan. Located along the Overland Trail & was used to protect emigrants and supplies going to and from Denver and the mining districts. The hutch itself is purple in color, almost dark purple, nice clarity with very little haze. According to Preble, dates c. 1908. 6 1/2" tall. Has a wiped top with light scratching, bubbles and nicks within the lip. Two slight imperfections on the base & has the oval with a line through it imprint on the base. Number 20 imprinted on the lower front near the base. White lettering on the slug plate label. Please view this nice bottle in person. For the purple lover!
