The Kansas City, Wyandotte and Northwestern Railway started operations in 1885 and stopped service in 1887 for a total period of operations of 2 years. Very rare bond. Only ones known are 50 yr. bonds. This is a debt from the city of Seneca, Kansas to the Railroad for construction. #4 of 20 issued, I/C, $1000, 6% , 30 year bond issued March 15, 1886. Signed A.H. Burnett Mayor and R.T. Thompson city clerk. Brown, embossed city seal lower left and State auditor seal upper right, "$1000" brown underprint, vignette top /center of title 4-4-0 @depot r-l. unidentified printer. Cancel punch holes. no stains. VF
