This is a Confederacy warrant signed by Edward C. Elmore Treasurer for the Confederacy dated March 21, 1862. Written in Richmond and cancelled in New Orleans. A beautiful vignette of a woman and shield behind an encampment. A dog's head at bottom center details the face. The warrant is also signed by Treasurer Robert Tyler, the son of the tenth U.S. President John Tyler of Virginia. 4 in. X 8.25 in. Issue number #360 for $9650.21. In good condition tear at fold.
