This original document is for the discharge of Anton Heitger of the Pennsylvania Volunteers dated July 16, 1865. He received his discharge in Alexandria, Virginia. Side-notes indicate that he was paid in full on July 20th. The print is bold but the ink fill is very light. A review letter helps identify each word. Very good condition with very light entries. The war would effectively end in April, however, the final surrender would not be until June 2, 1965 in Galveston, Texas. Please see photos for details. [ Pennsylvania
