These are two documents from the Adjunct General's Office of Rhode Island dated 1961, and 1864. Both Documents are for promotions for Henry Young a 22 year old Scout or spy for General Sheridan. The first document is a promotion to Captain in 1861, folded and tastefully repaired with archival tape signed by the Adjunct General Edward Cellaman. The second document is the promotion to Major dated 1864 where Henry Young's signature is present to accept this promotion. Clear and neat signatures. Tastefully repaired a the fold with archival tape on the back. 5.75 in. Z 9 in. and 7.25 in. X 10 in. respectively.
