This letter is addressed to a Charles Wagner in Pennsylvania from a dear friend Sergeant Albert Snyder dated May 7th, 1862. This is a four page letter with envelope. A typed manuscript details the letter. Sergeant Snyder of the 51st Regiment Penn. Volunteers details the weather at Fort Franklin. But more importantly describes that they are fortunate enough to have a whorehouse close at hand. Apparently they have "some of the finest ladies" and "we can get as much f_______g as we want." Sergeant Snyder was wounded at Antietam on September 17th and died from his wounds on October 1st. Folded at 8 in. X 5 in. four pages with signature. Very good condition. [ Pennsylvania
